David Frankfurter, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates and is the IVF Director at GWIVF. Dr. Frankfurter, a native of upstate New York, graduated from Syracuse University summa cum laude. He then went on to obtain his medical doctorate from the Yale University School of Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Frankfurter completed a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Yale New Haven Hospital and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Frankfurter became an Assistant Clinical Professor at Women and Infants? Hospital of Rhode Island/Brown Medical School, where he was the Medical Director of the Egg Donation Program. In additon, he was an instructor at Tufts University and is a member of the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology. He has published in peer review journals and has received several grants. His areas of interest include IVF outcomes, embryo transfer technique and treatment of the poor responder. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology.
