The urinary LH predictor kit is an convenient method of determining when in your cycle you are about to ovulate. the hormone that causes you to ovulate is called LH and there is a surge in its release about a day prior to ovulation. Your body clears LH through the kidneys so that it is detectable in the urine. The predictor kit is designed to assess for the presence of this surge. Your doctor or nurse coordinator will instruct you as to when to start using the LHPK. It should be used at the same time every day and it should not be used with your morning’s first urination.

When the kit indicates the LH surge, you should have intercourse that day and the following day.

If the kit does not demonstrate an LH surge after 5 days of use, please call your nurse coordinator.

We do not recommend any particular brand. A variety of LHPKs can be found in most drug stores.
